Am of the opinion that the more problems we face the more opportunities stare at us; I think we have been white washed by white collar jobs that has hindered our thinking. Just look around you you will realize the rich guys are not necessarily the ones that have been held hostage by white collar job phenomena. But methinks that we are held hostage to what ‘others’ expect from ‘us’ which unfortunately override self-independence! I call these detractors; manage them it’s entirely another story! A while ago I read an article by Wale ; the issue of living as a photocopy or orginal! Meeting Self!

Just the other day I attended our usual team meeting; as usual we normally have a team leader whom take charge of the deliberations; by providing strategic leadership and ensuring the discussions and decisions are aligned to organizations vision and mission. The norm is that review meetings are held to assess the progress and chart way forward or develop the next steps! Basically that’s how organizations are expected to work! To larger extent we are faithful to this norm. Partly this is a recipe to a better performance and growth of the firms we work for. But at times I wonder whether we replicate the same to manage our affairs! Once in a while organizations go for consultancy but do we consider self-improvement important and if so what is really the motivation? Is it a question of a chance presenting itself for corruption to thrive or what? But also what is the drive or motivator? What is the thinking of the corrupt before, during and after the act? Is corruption an event or a process? Are good people corrupts or not? Who is most prone to corruption the rich or poor, good or bad, women or men, religious or non-religious….?
